biodegradables permite que las raíces perforen rápidamente las paredes. En contacto con el aire detienen su crecimiento, esto estimula la formación de raíces secundarias que ocupan todo el volumen de la maceta. Este fenómeno se designa como "entorno aéreo". La maceta biodegradable se degrada rápidamente y se transforma en materia orgánica. La velocidad de degradación es comprobada, sólo quedan pequeños trozos de pared al cabo de pocos meses.

Air contact stops roots growth, stimulating secondary root formation that will fill the pots volume. This process is called "entorno aéreo".
